To Thomas Woolner 9 March 1874
Down, | Beckenham, Kent.
March 9 1874
My dear Mr Woolner
If you can attend the Ballotting at the Athenæum, will you be so kind as to give your vote (& exert any influence on others which you properly can) in favour of my nephew Henry Parker. He is a fellow of Oriel, & I can assure you that he is a fit man for election from his abilities & in every other respect.
His ballot comes on at the first meeting on the 16th of this month.1
Believe me | yours very sincerely. | Ch. Darwin
